Good Afternoon All
Last week I decided to start my training for Peru! This started off well, I rode out Monday morning and then did a Stretch and Tone Class on Monday night. This class was BRILLIANT and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn't too energetic but I really did feel like I was tone every muscle possible!
Tuesday morning I had no pain at all and decided to ride out again - only had a slight aching when I was flying up the gallops on my horse, Marti, and had to pull him up at the top.
Wednesday was my day off! Thursday, again I rode out but only a leisurely canter! Followed by my first experience of Spinning on Thursday night!
It was bloody hard work and I am still feeling the pain this Monday morning! I do think I was a little adventurous and went for the hour class! I am considering doing it again this week but if I do it will be for 45 mins and no longer! If I can't walk again on Friday I think Spinning will have to be taken out of the training schedule!
My boots are gradually being broken in and the pins and needles sensation has now gone and they are starting to feel quite comfortable! I find it a little odd wearing very tight fitting boots as I am normally in my Dubarrys or my riding boots outside.
Anyway, I would like to say a few MASSIVE thank yous to the lovely people who have been sponsoring me this week - Cris, Bennett, Stewart and Rob all kindly sponsored me over the weekend and I am Hugely grateful. All your support will really spur me on when I am no doubt having a tough day walking the Inca Trail!
xx
