Happy New Year Everyone!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year and the snow didn't cause too much hassle.
I spent a lot of time walking about in my walking boots in the snow and now they really are very comfortable - the snow seemed to help with my training and I soon got used to walking around in it!
Christmas this year was at our house and I cooked lunch with no problems! Unfortunately though, New Year was a let down as I got flu and spent about 6 days asleep! My training has slowed up because of this and I still have a terrible cough but hopefully I will be back on track soon.
Due to all the snow and ice we have had my horse, Marti, hasn't been ridden for about a month. He has had a few days out in his field and I have now started lungeing him and will probably get on him again this weekend - fingers crossed he behaves!
Anyway, I have received lots of sponsorship over the Christmas holidays and I would like to say a huge thank you to all those people who have sponsored me so far! Every penny really does count and even if you can only afford to sponsor me a £1 that will make a difference to Marie Curie Cancer Care or Lionheart.
It is about 11 weeks to go until we set off for Peru, so the time is flying by. If you would like to sponsor me before I go please please go to my justgiving page www.justgiving.com/Cazsperuchallenge to donate to Marie Curie Cancer Care or if you would like to support Lionheart then go to www.justgiving.com/Caroline-Smith4
Thank you so much!
Caz
